The Battle Lake Mock Trial team closed out their season at the State Tournament March 7-8, held at the Federal Courthouse in St. Paul. They put together solid showings against three talented and well-coached teams (Eden Prairie, Wayzata, and Northfield) in three separate trials held over the two day tournament. They are still awaiting final scores and final tournament rankings, which will be published in the coming days. After conclusion of their trials, they attended the State Banquet where they received their Regional Championship trophy. Two team members were awarded All-State honors as selected by the tournament judges: Kyleigh Shebeck as an All-State Attorney and Graycie Cameron as an All-State Witness.
Team members include: Kyleigh Shebeck, Hailey Rasmussen, Trevor Stans, Nelson Hubert, Riley Johnson, Madison Molter, Keira Shebeck, Connor Wicklund, and Graycie Cameron.
Claire Kraemer also competed in the State Tournament as a Courtroom Artist, and she was recognized as one of 8 finalists in the competition.
