At the beginning of December Battle Lake FFA Members made their way to Crookston for ANRAD (Agriculture, Natural Resources Activities Day)!
While there, students competed in agronomy, companion animal science, dairy evaluation, fish & wildlife, floriculture, forestry, livestock evaluation, nursery/landscape, and soils!
All students did very well! We want to give a special shoutout to:
Jack and Melody for placing 3rd and 5th respectively in Dairy Evaluation.
Tegan for placing 4th in Companion Animal Science.
Janie for placing 5th in Soils.
General Livestock Team for placing 2nd as a team.

AmeriCorps Promise Fellow position opening at Battle Lake School (K-12)! As an AmeriCorps Promise Fellow with Minnesota Alliance With Youth, you will join a statewide cohort of Promise Fellows supporting 6th - 12th-grade students. You will train alongside other individuals that have answered the call to serve, providing direct support for up to 30 students during the school year (February 1, 2025 - June 30, 2025). The Battle Lake School Christmas Store is actively getting set up for the holiday season. New and gently used items have been generously donated by staff members and the community. These items are being organized and displayed for Preschool - 6th graders to "shop" (free of charge) for their family members. This has continued to be a rewarding, heart-warming project which reminds all of us about the true meaning of the season.
