The 2022 State MSHSL AAA winner is Isaac Scherfenberg! Every year the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) chooses a boy and a girl recipient from both single A and double AA schools to win this prestigious title and scholarship. This year the boy’s winner was Isaac Scherfenberg from Region 6A. The 34th Annual Academics, Arts & Athletics award celebration took place March 26, 2022, in Minneapolis. At the ceremony, the MSHSL gathered to celebrate and honor the 32 students selected as "Triple A" award winners from across the state of Minnesota. Please join us in congratulating Isaac for his exceptional achievement in academics, arts, and athletics.

The BPA State Leadership Conference took place, March 10-12 at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis. The 12 students competing represented Battle Lake School well, with 7 placing in multiple categories, bringing home 13 awards and 2 taking first place in the entire state! The following students now advance to the National Leadership Conference taking place this May in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Speicher and Mrs. Roisum’s geography classes got to listen to Nick Anderson today. Nick is the director of the National Speleological Society, which specializes in cave exploration, preservation, and science. Nick highlighted different career paths a background in geography can lead to.

I Love to Read Month Update: It's been a crazy weather month and since we did not have school on the original Dress Like Your Favorite Character Day, we'd love to see everyone dress up tomorrow, Friday, February 25!

February 21-27 is School Bus Driver Appreciation Week! We would like to thank our amazing transportation team for all they do to ensure safe transportation for Battle Lake School students each and every day!

Due to the road conditions Battle Lake Schools will be 2 hours late tomorrow,Wednesday 2/23.

All extra curricular activities for today, February 22 are postponed or canceled.

The Minnesota School Boards Association has set February 21-25 as Minnesota School Board Recognition Week to build awareness and understanding of the vital function elected school board members play in our society. Given the current winter storm warning in effect until noon tomorrow, Battle Lake Public Schools will implement an E-learning day, Tuesday, February 22. A decision on after school activities will be made by 1 PM tomorrow.
