Fall Carnival for kids in Preschool - Grade 6 is this Thursday, October 27, from 5:00-7:00pm in the BL School cafeteria. Pizza meal will be on sale for $5 and game tickets are 25 cents apiece. Children are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy the festivities! Proceeds benefit Summer Rec and Preschool programs.

October's BattlersConnect focused on GRATITUDE! All 7-12 students met with K-6 students to create thank you cards to people we are thankful for. A HUGE shout out to Big Fish Kayaks who donated ice cream to our ENTIRE school for a gratitude ice cream social!

On BEACH DAY during Homecoming Week the second graders enjoyed listening to instrumental Hawaiian music while reading on towels on make believe island beaches. It was especially fun because it was cold outside!

HELP WANTED: ISD#542, Battle Lake Public Schools, is currently accepting applications for a regular route van driver. Approximate hours are 7:00-8:45 am and 2:45-4:30 pm. If interested the district will also provide training to secure a school bus driver endorsement. This position is ideal added income for retired, self-employed or seasonal workers. No evening, weekend, or summer hours required, but available for extra pay. Applications are available at the district office located at 402 Summit Street West, Battle Lake MN 56515. On Wednesday, October 12, Battle Lake School students participated in "Walk to School Day" in conjunction with MN Safe Routes to School. Buses dropped students at Halverson Park by Chief Wenonga and they then walked the bike path to school. Take a look!
