Battle Lake School is looking for a paraprofessional to help in our 4 year old preschool program on Mondays and Wednesdays during school hours. The position will work with a variety of students, helping each with their individual needs. Applications, which can be picked up in the district office or by visiting the district website, should be returned to Darren Kern, Superintendent at 402 Summit St W Battle Lake, MN 56515 or dkern@isd542.org. Position will be open until filled.

Just a reminder that on Monday, January 18th, all students PreK-12 grade will be back to In-Person Learning. This is a HUGE change to grades 7-12!! Welcome Back!!

That silly Elf also showed up in our lunchroom today. He tried to keep us from getting milk, he wanted to save it all for Santa!

Santa, Elf On the Shelf, Rudolph, and some rowdy revelers came to the Battle Lake School to visit our good girls and boys! We have the BEST staff!!

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, December 18th will be a half day for students. Buses will leave at 12:40. Also, another reminder will go out later, but mark your calendar. January 15, 2021 will be another retake day for student photos, if needed. Basketball photos will be taken before school that morning, as well.

Caulfield Studios will be in on Wednesday, December 16th to take grades 11-12 and any remaining school photos that need to be taken. As Minnesota FFA welcomes thousands of young people into membership, the Minnesota FFA Foundation has announced the recipients of the Blue Jacket Bright Futures program. The program provides sponsored FFA jackets to Minnesota youth who are starting their FFA career. This is the eighth year the Minnesota FFA Foundation has offered the program. “The Blue Jackets Bright Future program is a valuable program providing students with an FFA jacket to support their FFA involvement. A personalized FFA jacket provides recipients with a sense of pride while giving them ownership of their FFA experiences, said Lavyne Rada, Minnesota FFA Association Leadership Development Coordinator. “FFA plays an important role in developing agricultural and leadership skills in students while preparing them for their future careers.” The following Battle Lake FFA Members were chosen to receive their own FFA Jacket: Izzy Brandborg Madison Cameron Laney Frost Jarren Hill Addison Maethner Andrea Schmidt Congratulations!

Next Tuesday and Wednesday, December 15th and 16th, individual photos will be taken for grades 9-12. 9 & 10 will be Tuesday, 11 & 12 will be Wednesday. Those photos will begin at 9:15.
