Mrs. Kugler’s kindergarten celebrated gratitude and cooperation this week. 2 students began to make posters for all of their friends from the “treasure chest” of scrap paper. Soon friends joined in to help. Each poster was designed with someone special in mind and the girls kept track of which ones they finished on a clipboard over the past 10 days. Today everyone got to bring their poster home for Thanksgiving. Well done boys and girls! #thevalueofplay
Ms. Block’s global agriculture class has been learning about hunger, food insecurity and food waste. Today, we capped off the unit by investigating our own food waste. The class collected trash from the 9-12 grade lunch and dissected it.

Our Thanksgiving meal was a success. Thank you to the amazing cooks who prepared and served our feast with love.
Ms. Block’s ag science 1 class has been learning about animal welfare and handling recently by talking about ethics, proper handling techniques, and production systems. The unit was capped off by watching Temple Grandin, a video about a pioneer in the animal science field where students were able to experience how animals perceive the world and how we can make sure the animals are respected properly. The final project of the unit was making their very own animal handling facility!

Today marked the last day of the BPA "Chapter Social Week Challenge." On this Service Sunday, the members of BPA reflected back to the Blood Drive held at the Battle Lake School in October. Some offered their time by helping with the drive while others donated. Take a look!

Friendship Friday was the fifth day of the BPA "Chapter Social Week Challenge." To show their friends how much they are appreciated, the members of BPA got up bright & early and put notes on lockers throughout the school. Those notes contained messages of inspiration, motivation and humor...take a look!
4th grade took a field trip to see Charlotte’s Web at MSUM, lunch at Burger King, and visited a children’s museum at Yunkers’s Farm. It was a fun day!! #BattlerPride
